Bhubaneswar, July 25 -- Leader of Opposition and BJD President Naveen Patnaik has urged the Odisha Government to convene an all-party meeting to discuss the critical issue of the Mahanadi river water dispute.
Taking to social media platform X, Patnaik demanded that the state government clarify the nature of any "mutual compromise" reportedly being considered-or already finalized-with the BJP-led government in Chhattisgarh.
His remarks came in response to an official press release and a social media post by the Advocate General of Odisha, which indicated that efforts were underway to resolve the Mahanadi issue through mutual agreement.
