New Delhi, April 14 -- Top leaders from across the political spectrum on Tuesday paid floral tributes to B R Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, remembering his monumental contributions to nation-building and the enduring relevance of his ideals in shaping a just and inclusive India.

Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla led the tributes at Ambedkar's statue at Prerna Sthal in the Parliament House Complex. The solemn ceremony was attended by several union Ministers, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Harivansh Narayan Singh, Members of Parliament, former MPs and other dignitaries.
