Nashik/ Mumbai, March 28 -- In a major crackdown on the circulation of objectionable content online, Nashik Police have registered criminal cases against 65 individuals operating accounts on popular social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

The action comes in response to the widespread sharing of controversial and inappropriate videos that recently went viral across the region.

According to police officials on Saturday, similar offences have also been recorded in other parts of Maharashtra, including Ahmednagar and Kopargaon, indicating a broader pattern of misuse of social media platforms to circulate sensitive and objectionable material.
