Chennai, Jan. 30 -- In a significant milestone, US Space AGency NASA and the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) on Friday released a high-resolution radar image of the Mississippi River Delta captured by the NISAR satellitelaunched from the Indian spaceport of Sriharikota.
The image demonstrates the mission's ability to "see" through heavy cloud cover that typically obscures optical satelliteviews of the region.
The radar imagery, processed from data collected in late 2025, uses false-color mapping to distinguish various land typesand environmental conditions.
