Narendra Modi may be father of BJP, not of farmers: Patole
Mumbai, July 1 -- After being suspended for a day from the lower house during ongoing monsoon session of the Maharashtra Assembly, Congress legislator Nana Patole today launched a blistering attack on the ruling BJP
saying that (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi may be the father of BJP, but not of farmers.
Patole was suspended from the legislature for a day after raising his voice on the farmers' issue.
Talking to media in the premises of the legislature, he accused BJP of being an anti-farmer party.
Taking aim at BJP leader Babanrao Lonikar and Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate, the former Congress state president accused them of insulting farmers with their blatant statements.
