New Delhi, Jan. 10 -- Moving at a snail's pace, the Narela Education City project registered a step forward on Saturday, with land papers for two plots, 12.7 acres and 22.4 acres, handed over to the Delhi Teachers University and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
The transfer took place at the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, V K Saxena, according to a press statement issued by Delhi's Education Department.
Addressing a press conference later in the day, Education Minister Ashish Sood described the development as a "historic decision" with far-reaching implications for the education sector.
