Itanagar, March 27 -- As part of the ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking under 'Operation Dawn 2.0', the Naharlagun Police apprehended a drug peddler and seized 3.60 kg of cannabis during a raid conducted on Wednesday, a senior police officer said on Thursday.
Acting on credible intelligence, the police received information about an individual selling contraband drugs to addicted youths in the Itanagar Capital Region from his rented house in A-Sector, Naharlagun. To prevent any escape or disposal of the drugs, a police team swiftly launched a raid.
A thorough search, conducted in the presence of the Magistrate and independent witnesses, led to the recovery of 3.60 kg of illegal cannabis from the premises.
