Shimla, March 8 -- Continuing its intensified crackdown on narcotics trafficking, Shimla police have busted another interstate supply chain involved in heroin (chitta) trade and arrested a key supplier from Chandigarh during a backward linkage investigation.

According to Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh, the breakthrough came during investigation of FIR No. 15/2026, registered on March 5 under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Sadar Shimla. Police had initially recovered 5.990 grams of heroin from two accused - Baljinder Singh (28) and Lovepreet Singh (23), both residents of Tarn Taran district in Punjab.
