Dimapur, Nov. 15 -- union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said Nagaland is witnessing a steady inflow of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which are becoming more purpose-driven and tailored to local needs.
Inaugurating the AI & Future Skills Centre of Excellence at Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC), Dimapur, Sitharaman recalled that there was a genuine concern that CSR support was not reaching Nagaland a few years ago.
She said in response to the concern, the central government organised the CSR conclave in Nagaland in 2022, which became a turning point.
