Dimapur, Jan. 15 -- The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) on Thursday said the ongoing recruitment process in the police department must be conducted with the highest standards of transparency, fairness and accountability.

It stressed that meritocracy must be strictly upheld at every stage of selection, ensuring that only deserving and qualified candidates are selected without any form of favouritism, nepotism or undue influence.

The NSF also urged the Nagaland home department and all agencies concerned to ensure that the recruitment process is completed in a time-bound manner.

In a release, the federation said it will continue to closely observe the process in the interest of justice, fairness and transparency.
