Dimapur, Jan. 31 -- Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio officially launched the digitisation of old manual birth and death certificates in his official chamber in Kohima on Saturday.

During the launch, Rio stressed that the initiative will streamline service delivery, ensure efficient and accurate data, improve citizen access to essential documents, and assist the government in making informed public policy decisions.

Commending the efforts of the economics & statistic department in making the digitization possible, he urged the citizens for timely registration of births and deaths.
