Shimla, Oct. 1 -- BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda today charged the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh with increasing the tax burden on the people amid the ongoing "GST Savings Festival" ushered in by the Central government.

Nadda is on a three-day tour of the state. He said in a statement that the GST on most items of daily need has either been reduced to zero or significantly reduced, providing significant relief to the common people.

Nadda will take part in various functions till October 3. He will also take part in the Dussehra Function at Kullu and also visit the AIIMS Bilaspur to interact with the staff and the students.
