Kolkata, Oct. 21 -- Mystery surrounds the death of an 11-year-old girl - the niece of RG Kar rape and murder convict Sanjay Roy - who was found hanging inside a cupboard at her residence in Kolkata's Alipore area yesterday evening.
The Class 6 student was rushed to SSKM Hospital in an unconscious state but succumbed to her injuries on Monday, deepening the cloud of suspicion over the tragic incident.
According to police sources, the child was discovered inside a cupboard at her home in Vidyasagar Colony, under the jurisdiction of Alipore Police Station.
No one was reportedly present in the house when the incident occurred.
