Yangon, Feb. 20 -- Myanmar opened the Food Industry Development Forum (2025) on Wednesday in Nay Pyi Taw, the state-run daily The Mirror reported on Thursday.

Speaking at the opening event, Chairman of Myanmar's State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said that this forum will provide an opportunity to observe, discuss, and exchange insights on the weaknesses, strengths, challenges, and opportunities within the local food industry, the report said.

He added that efforts must be made to meet the needs of and support local food businesses that are focused on ensuring domestic consumption and expanding exports, the report said.
