Jiribam (Manipur), April 5 -- Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand on Sunday said that his priority was to establish lasting peace in the State. CM Khemchand who is in Jiribam district since Saturday met community leaders, displaced persons from different sections of society, government officials and inspected health and other facilities.

"Every community wants peace and we need to remove the trust deficit. My objective is to restore peace," the CM said. He also expressed his government's resolve to develop Jiribam into a model district. The Chief Minister was speaking to media persons at the proposed site for Inter-State Truck Terminus at Jiribam district.
