Hyderabad, March 13 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday evening said the Musi river rejuvenation project was aimed at protecting the environment, preserving the city's heritage and ensuring sustainable development for future generations.

Speaking at the "Musi Invites" programme held at a hotel here, Revanth Reddy said some people were deliberately 'spreading half-truths and misinformation' about the project, causing unnecessary concern among the public.

He said the government believed in using power as a responsibility to serve the people and not to dominate them, and therefore decided to present the facts about the project to the public through the programme.
