Barabanki, Feb. 8 -- An accused who had arrived at a court hearing in Barabanki on Saturday escaped from police custody after being convicted in a murder case, triggering panic in the court compound.
According to reports, the court had found the accused guilty in a murder case, and sentencing was scheduled for February 9. Immediately after the conviction, the police took him into custody to send him to jail.
However, taking advantage of the moment, the accused managed to deceive the police personnel and fled, officials confirmed on Sunday.
