Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, March 1 -- A case has been registered against a corporator of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen and 30 to 40 of his supporters for allegedly threatening municipal officials and obstructing government work during an anti-encroachment drive in the Shahaganj area of the city.
The complaint was lodged at City Chowk Police Station by Deputy Commissioner of the Anti-Encroachment Department, Savita Anant Rao Sonone.
According to the complaint, the Municipal Corporation launched a drive to remove handcarts and other unauthorised structures that were causing traffic congestion on a public road in Shahaganj.
