Mumbai, May 23 -- Police have arrested the driver involved in the fatal hit-and-run accident of a Swiggy delivery rider at Gandhi Nagar Junction in Kanjurmarg West of the city suburb, police said on Friday.
According to details, on Wednesday Swiggy delivery rider Salman Khan who was on his way to deliver food on his bike rammed into the tanker and got stuck to its front bumper, following which his vehicle was dragged for a distance. The tanker driver had fled the scene after the accident.
The Parksite police in Vikhroli (West) registered an FIR based on a complaint filed by Mehfooz Hashmi, Khan's cousin brother, who was riding pillion with him when the accident took place.
