New Delhi, June 9 -- A court here on Monday allowed the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks accused, Tahawwur Hussain Rana, to talk with his family members over phone.

After hearing the application of accused, Special Judge Chander Jit Singh allowed Rana to talk with his family members.

Last week, the court extended till July nine the judicial custody of Rana, who was produced before the court through video conferencing(vc).

The court had earlier dismissed the application of Rana seeking to talk with his family members.

Tahawwur Rana, 64, Pakistani-origin Canadian businessman, is allegedly a close associate of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks main conspirator David Coleman Headley alias Daood Gilani, a US citizen.
