Mumbai, Feb. 5 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve on Thursday slammed the traffic management system on the Mumbai-Pune Highway, calling it "shameful" after a tanker accident disrupted movement and severed connectivity between the two cities for nearly 24 hours.
Reacting to the situation, Danve questioned the state's infrastructure preparedness and said it was a serious matter that two of Maharashtra's largest cities could be effectively cut off from each other for an entire day due to a single tanker overturning.
He remarked that the incident exposed the fragility of the system, adding that if an emergency situation were to arise under similar circumstances, it would cause significant embarrassment to the state administration. Danve ...
