Mumbai, May 2 -- The Mumbai Police control room received a hoax threat call, but the caller was discovered to be a teenager with autism. His parents were warned and legal action was taken, a source in the Mumbai police said.
According to details, the Mumbai police early this morning mobilised its force to an apartment in Andheri to trace a bag with a "bomb", acting on a call received at its control room around 2 am. However, the call turned out to be a hoax.
The police traced the caller and detained the 19-year-old youngster who was found to be autistic. His father, during the inquiry, told the police that his son was under treatment for the disorder and also showed his medical documents to support his claim.
