Mumbai, Aug. 25 -- A city-based elderly doctor was allegedly duped to the tune of Rs 25 lakh by members of a cyber fraud gang under the pretext of high-return investment in share market.
However, two of them were arrested by the West Cyber Cell of the Mumbai Police, officials said here today.
Seventy-nine-year-old Powai-based doctor was allegedly approached by the gang members with lucrative offers. The arrested accused, identified as Richard Rao and Prashant Chaudhary, were apprehended from Dombivli town of neighbouring Thane districit on Sunday and were produced in the court this afternoon.
According to officials, the arrest was made while using the latest technologies.
