Mumbai, Jan. 11 -- A Mumbai sessions court has rejected the bail application of a Bihar-based businessman, Shahid Raza, who was arrested on October 16 last year in connection with an inter-state counterfeit postal stamp racket. The court held that the allegations indicate the use of forged Indian postal stamps and observed that the offence appeared to have ramifications across the country.
The case was registered following a complaint filed by the Postal Inspector attached to the Mumbai General Post Office with the MRA Marg police station.
