Mumbai, March 19 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that notorious gangster Anmol Bishnoi is wanted in several cases by Mumbai Police, and a request has been sent to the Central government to hand over his custody.
He expressed hope that the request would be approved soon.
Fadnavis also urged members of the film industry not to panic following the recent firing incident at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's residence. He said the government would not allow criminal gangs to create fear in Mumbai.
The issue was raised in the Legislative Council by member Sachin Ahir, who pointed out that actors, producers, and directors appear to be deliberately targeted, leading to a sense of fear within the film fraternity.
