Mumbai, March 30 -- Mumbaikars will face no tiffin pickups or deliveries of their lunch at their offices and establishments from today, March 30, till April 4, six days, as the city's most iconic services staff members are taking their annual leave.
Mumbai Dabbawala Association president Subhash Talekar confirmed the pause,and said that it's a scheduled break, not a strike the 135-year-old network heads back to their villages in Pune, Raigad and Nashik districts (Maval, Mulshi, Ambegaon, Junnar, Khed, Akola, Sangamner, etc.) for village fairs and pilgrimages to their gram deities, timed around ''Chaitra Pournima'' (including visits to places like the Ramdevra Temple).
