Aizawl, March 5 -- The Mizo Students' union (MSU) has alleged that eight candidates from outside the state secured posts in the Border Security Force (BSF) under the Mizoram quota by using forged residential certificates, and has demanded a thorough investigation into the matter.

In a press statement issued by MSU president B. Lalkhawngaihzuala, the student body said that the recruitment examination for Constable (General Duty) conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in 2024 resulted in the selection of ten candidates under the Mizoram state quota. However, eight of those selected were neither Mizos nor residents of Mizoram.
