Mumbai, Feb. 20 -- The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has prepared a comprehensive master plan aimed at strengthening passenger services while improving its financial stability.
State Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik shared details of the ambitious roadmap.
Under the phased plan, 8,300 new buses will be inducted into the MSRTC fleet. A new premium intercity service titled Rajmata Jijau Service will be launched to operate between two cities.
To compete with private passenger transport operators, the corporation will also introduce well-equipped and comfortable buses.
