Imphal, Sept. 9 -- The Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), custodian of the S N Chand Cine Archive & Museum (SNCCAM), has expanded its activities beyond celluloid preservation to include archiving of video and digital films, in a bid to safeguard the recent works of Manipuri cinema.
With the launch of an online server for secure storage, MSFDS has appealed to Manipuri film producers and directors to deposit their works with SNCCAM for preservation.
"Every film is a part of our collective memory. We urge all filmmakers to safeguard their legacy by archiving their works," MSFDS Secretary Sunzu said.
