Patna, Feb. 20 -- Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey on Friday announced in the state Assembly that MRI and CT scan facilities will soon be operational in the newly constructed building of Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).
Replying to a short-notice question of JD(U) MLA Manjit Singh, the minister stated that MRI and CT scan machines have already been installed in the new building. However, he clarified that starting CT scan services requires approval from the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB).
He said that the government's application is currently pending with the regulatory board and the services will be launched as soon as the required procedures are completed and approval is granted.
