Bhopal, April 5 -- Three people died and around half-a-dozen were injured after a three-storey building of Agarwal lodge in Kotma town of Anuppur district in Madhya Pradesh collapsed suspected due to ongoing construction work next to it.

Two men died in the incident on Saturday evening, while the body of the third deceased, a woman, was discovered under the debris during search and rescue operations on Sunday.

According to officials of the police and district administration, the two deceased men were identified as Hanumandeen Yadav (55), and his brother-in-law Ramkripal Yadav (50).

Five other people were injured in the accident, two of whom are in critical condition and have been sent to Shahdol for better treatment.
