Bhopal, Jan. 14 -- In a shocking incident of suspected honour killing, a man allegedly shot dead his married 21-year-old daughter, who had left her husband and eloped with her lover a few days ago, in a village in the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh.
The police have arrested the accused father, who reportedly confessed to the cops that he committed the murder, as his daughter had dishonoured him and the family.
According to the police, the incident occurred in village Khiriya Thapak under the jurisdiction of Mehgaon police station late Tuesday evening.
It is alleged that the accused Munnesh Dhanuk shot dead his daughter Nidhi Dhanuk in an agricultural field.
