Bhopal, Feb. 20 -- Madhya Pradesh Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya on Friday admitted in the Assembly that the deaths caused by contaminated water in Indore's Bhagirathpura were a consequence of negligence and the government has now drafted an action plan for the entire state.

Vijayvargiya's response came over the admissibility of the Opposition's adjournment notices.

"The Bhagirathpura incident is akin to a blot on the country's cleanest city Indore. The citizens had complained about the water. The Mayor invited tenders and after that there was some delay.
