Bhopal, Jan. 29 -- Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav today directed that an assessment be conducted of crop damage caused by untimely rainfall, and instructed district administrations to make every effort to protect farmers from losses caused by unseasonal rainfall.
Most parts of the state have experienced winter rainfall over the past few days. Some places have also witnessed hailstorms, which have caused extensive damage to standing crops.
The MP CM assured that the state government stands firmly with farmers and that district administrations across the state must remain vigilant in view of untimely rains and mawatha.
