Chennai, Oct. 22 -- In a shocking incident, mounting debts drovea businessman to murder his wife and two grown up sons and latercommitted suicide at the Chennai suburb of Injambakkam, today.
Police said, Chiranjeevi Damodara Gupta (56), who runs an electronicshop, suffered heavy losses in his business leading to mounting debts.
Unable to overcome from the financial burden, he killed his wife, Revathi(45) and two sons, Ritwik Harshat (15) and Deethwik Hrshat (11) and latercommitted suicide by slitting his throat at his residence last night.
The faces of his wife and two sons were covered with a polythene cover.
The incident came to light today and the police have recovered a suicidenote from the spot.
