Lucknow, Nov. 20 -- A woman and her son from Mathura allegedly consumed sulphas near the residence of Uttar Pradesh's Tourism Minister on Wednesday afternoon, leaving both in critical condition. The incident occurred in the high-security Gautampalli area, close to the Chief Minister's residence.
According to police, the victims, Munesh Singh (56) and her son Baljeet Singh (38), residents of Barsana in Mathura, collapsed on the road soon after ingesting the poisonous substance. Bystanders informed the police, who rushed the two to Lucknow's Civil Hospital, where their condition remains critical.
