New Delhi, Feb. 5 -- Delhi Police data shows that over 500 women and girls went missing in Delhi during the first half of January 2026, accounting for almost two-thirds of all reported missing cases.
According to Delhi Police, 807 individuals were reported missing between January 1 and 15, of which 509 were women and girls.
On average, about 54 people were reported missing daily. The data shows that, of the 509 women and girls and 298 men reported missing, 235 individuals have been traced, while 572 are still unaccounted for.
Minors accounted for 191 of the total missing cases, raising concerns over child safety. Girls formed a significant majority, with 146 reported missing compared to 45 boys.
