Shimla, Aug. 14 -- Himachal Pradesh remains in the grip of one of the most intense monsoon spells of the season, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) continuing an Orange Alert for Bilaspur, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla and Sirmaur districts today. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is forecast to peak over the next two days, driven by an active monsoon trough and western disturbance, significantly increasing the risk of landslides, flash floods, and falling boulders.
