Hyderabad, May 10 -- Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his first visit to Telangana after assuming office for a third consecutive term and urged him to address several long-pending issues concerning the state.
In a video statement released on Sunday, the Congress MP said the previous government had handed over Telangana, once a revenue-surplus state, with a heavy debt burden to the Congress government.
He said Modi was leading the country with the vision of achieving a "Viksit Bharat" by 2047 and transforming India into a 30 trillion-dollar economy.
