New Delhi, Feb. 6 -- The Ministry of Defence has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the procurement of 30 low-level light weight Radars (Improved) [LLLR(I)] along with two Class Room Variants (CRVs) under the Buy (Indian) category through the fast track procurement process, with an estimated outlay of around Rs 725 crore. The RFP was uploaded on the Indian Army's official website today.
The proposed LLLR(I) systems are intended to function as advanced surveillance radars capable of scanning airspace, detecting and tracking aerial targets, including those with very low radar cross-section, and prioritising threats in real time.
