MUMBAI, Oct. 30 -- The Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) submitted a list of bogus and duplicate voters to officials of the Maharashtra State Election Commission on Thursday, along with evidence that bogus voters have registered public toilets (sulabh shauchalayas) as their residential addresses in the Juinagar area of Navi Mumbai.

The MNS also wrote to Maharashtra State Election Commission officials demanding that 18,000 duplicate and 15,000 bogus names be excluded from the Belapur assembly constituency in Navi Mumbai, and tweeted a copy of the letter through the party's X handle.
