Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 24 -- Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar today warned that party workers would "resist on the ground" if Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin attempted to participate in the upcoming Ayyappa Sangamam without first apologizing to devotees.

Addressing newspersons here, Chandrasekhar accused both leaders of having "insulted and harmed" Sabarimala traditions, Ayyappa devotees, and the Hindu faith over the years.

He alleged that Vijayan had unleashed police action during the Sabarimala protests, under which several pilgrims were jailed and numerous cases registered.
