Aizawl, Sept. 2 -- The Mizoram government is gearing up for the launch of its ambitious FOCUS 2.0 programme, designed to strengthen climate-resilient farming, with financial backingof Rs 380 crore proposed from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

The Governing Council of the Society for Climate Resilient Agriculture in Mizoram (SCRAM),set up to oversee the scheme, met today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Lalduhoma atthe Planning & Programme Implementation Department Conference Hall.

The initiative builds on the earlier FOCUS 1.0. which officials described as a success.
