Aizawl, July 30 -- With the highest cancer incidence rates in India, Mizoram is turning to Japan
for assistance in establishing a state-of-the-art cancer hospital.
The proposed Mizoram State Super Specialty Cancer & Research Centre, to be funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), aims to tackle the growing number of cancer cases in the state while saving the government substantial costs currently spent on referring patients outside Mizoram for treatment.
