Aizawl, Aug. 14 -- Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma has warned that the state's strategic yet vulnerable location near the infamous "Golden Triangle" - one of the world's largest drug-producing regions - has turned it into a major transit route for narcotics smuggled from Myanmar.
While flagging off the Mizoram State Level and Aizawl District Level programmes under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drugs Free India Campaign), Lalduhoma underscored the urgent need for collective community action to combat the menace.
The event featured a "Rally - Fight Against Drugs" with over 600 students from various schools and colleges marching through Aizawl to mark the campaign's 5th anniversary.
