Madrid, Feb. 26 -- Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio has sent a message to calm fans over a potentially serious injury after being taken to hospital following a heavy fall during his side's 2-1 Champions League win over Benfica.

Asencio collided with teammate Eduardo Camavinga in the 77th minute of the game. Left immobile on the pitch, he was carefully treated before being stretchered off wearing a neck brace and subsequently taken to the hospital for further tests, according to Xinhua.
