Giridih, Feb. 5 -- Jharkhand police on Thursday claimed to have solved the case of a woman found in a semi-burnt condition in the Kari Pahari forest of Giridih district, pronouncing that the murder was committed by the victim's husband with the intention to enter into a wedlock for the second time.
Addressing a press conference here, district Superintendent of Police Bimal Kumar said the victim, identified as Shahina Parveen, was killed and her body set on fire by her husband Jabir Ansari.
The police have arrested Ansari, his mother Jaibun Nisha, and three other accused Sarafat Ansari of Beko (Bagodar), Wakil Ansari alias Rocky of Karmatongri (Nimiaghat), and Guddu Ali along with two minors involved in the crime.
