Agartala, May 6 -- Tension sparked in Ranchi Tilla area of Kailashahar under Tripura's Unakoti district, after allegations emerged that beef was being sold locally under the guise of mutton.

According to locals, two young men from tea garden worker families, identified as Monsha Munda and Sujit Bhowmik, had reportedly been selling meat in the area for a long period while claiming it was goat meat.

Recently, some residents began to doubt the quality of the meat being sold, leading to growing suspicion within the community.
