Amravati, April 17 -- Authorities investigating the alleged sexual exploitation case in Amravati have pushed back against widespread claims circulating on social and political platforms, stating that the scale of the incident has been significantly overstated.

A fact-finding inquiry conducted by the Maharashtra State Minorities Commission (MSMC) has concluded that the case involves eight victims, including two minors. According to MSMC Chairman Pyare Khan, all identified victims belong to a minority community, and the digital material recovered so far is limited to a small set of videos and photographs.
