Bengaluru, March 18 -- A routine discussion on festival celebrations in the Karnataka Assembly turned into a fiery debate after Labour Minister Santosh Lad called for a ban on DJs during Jayanti and other state festival celebrations, sparking a political and religious controversy.

The flashpoint came when BJP MLA Channabasappa sharply objected to the government's focus on DJs, framing the issue as selective and politically motivated. "Why is the government targeting DJs alone?
